What is Colon Hydrotherapy ?
Cleansing the bowel is an ancient therapy that dates back to 1500 B.C in Egypt. It is an effective, safe and gentle process using purified warm water to bathe the large intestine using no chemicals or drugs. The treatment is absolutely painless and is experienced as being pleasant and relaxing. The warm water is infused very slowly into the colon to soften and remove impacted faecal matter. The client relaxes on a massage table while the therapist begins to infuse filtered water into the colon under controlled temperature and pressure. The old feculent material that may be lying in the patient’s colon for years is loosened and removed. The treatment lasts between 45 to 50 minutes. It is an enclosed system with no odours or exposure to bacterial waste. There is a viewing tube that allows the therapist to evaluate the faeces and make recommendations to the client after the treatment is complete.
